I thought that it did colour. I'd better cancel my order.

Seriously, that is a great pic.

Wonderful image - the black & white treatment is well done! I'd be interested in the background/story a bit!

Regards,

Kevin

Thanks. This was taken at an event for photographers organised by a company here in the UK called Timeline Events. The shoot was with a re-enactment group called the Ragged Victorians who dress up, well... as ragged Victorians. They are excellent. The whole setting was in a museum where they have reconstructed period buildings.

Image was processed in LR and Nik Effects.

Although the scene was set up by a reenactment group you captured it well.

Back in the 1990's my wife worked for a poster company (newbies: we had no Internet back then and every youngster had his/her walls lined up with posters) who poured out an immense amount of this type of image.

Like a small boy offering flowers to a small girl, both in clothes from way back, situated at a train station with a steam locomotive in the background or located on a 'flowery' field. Then there were the pop stars (the contract with Michael Jackson and Pepsi Cola was about two inches thick) and beautiful women embraced by masculine men whose face was not visible (important!), horses with their necks around each other (mind the surroundings, lush fields and certainly not a muddy corral) etc. etc. I could go on and on.

Their go-to photographer drove a Porsche. And yes, he was very good at it. Still ride a bicycle myself though ;-)

How do you make the Fog/smoke come out like that? Lighting Set up???

I like the B&W treatment but would be interested in seeing it a drab color image as well.... Well done!

Just natural lighting. There is a smoke machine just out of frame on the right, just added a little bit of haze in LR to hide the jet from the machine.

Great photo, but honestly, it tells me only a little about the camera. This would be a great photo even if taken with an iPhone. The composition and the fog/smoke - everything works on this photo.

It is impossible to tell from a picture which camera took it. The 850 for me is a tool that to some extent helps me take better photos. On this pic it was the flip screen! Saves my knees lol.
