I've had a read through some other threads on this but didn't find anything.

Basically I've always used my A6000 on this computer and never had any problems- running Windows 10 BTW. Suddenly, the camera is refusing to connect and isn't visible- I just get "Check the connected device" errors on the A6000. It will charge fine with the camera turned off.

I've tried different USB leads (including the genuine Sony), different USB ports and a different Windows 10 PC. From all those combos it comes down to the camera suddenly not liking this particular PC (it works fine on a near new HP notebook which is also running W10.) The USB ports will work with other devices (including my Xperia mobile) so I'm stumped as to what has suddenly gone wrong?

Has anyone got any ideas?

So I ended up checking the USB BIOS settings (was all okay) and reinstalling the motherboard drivers (without uninstalling the old ones.) It now works.

Hello, I am with the same error, where can I find the tutorial for bios reinstallation?

I have the same issue with my A6000 camera, i'm unable to update my camera with some new software purchased. (time lapse software)

you mentioned replacing/re-loading usb drivers? for the camera or the PC? sorry Im not that up on driver updating ect for a PC. is there a location that has a tutorial on doing that?

I see that this is a relatively old posting but Ive seen almost no mention of this problem elsewhere and Sony has been very tough to get ahold of.

any help or suggestions are welcome!
