The Technavio numbers are fairly vague unless you buy the report. Shipments or sales? Volume or value? Bodies only or bodies plus lenses? And what on earth are Welbridge cameras?

Presumably Technavio has a different analysis to CIPA otherwise why would anybody buy their report?

The CIPA numbers for MILC share of total ILC shipments for the first 5 months of 2017 were 37% by volume and 39% by value, up significantly from 2016.

That's how it looks.

First, as others already noted, their "findings" are in conflict with information offered by CIPA.

Then, those "experts" are identifying Samsung Electronics as one of the "key vendors in the global digital camera market".

If you are going to include non ILC cameras in the mix, why not include cel phones?

Also, stating that ILC ML cameras now market share is 55% of DSLR is also a little breathless. Its probably a little more accurate to that that with ILC, ML has a little more that a third market share

If you do the math, 55% of DSLR means total sales are 55/155 = 35.5%, pretty close to the CIPA numbers.
