The MBD wouldn't clog inventory if Nikon didn't charge their usual outrageous $300. It makes me feel like buying an HDMI cable at Best Buy.It often is, but it may also be that Nikon wants to clear out stock before announcing the D750's replacement. Why are these sales going on? It is an annual thing?
.
Yep, especially since B&H and Adorama are including so many extras for the same price as they're selling just the body. Even NikonUSA is including a free MB-D16 battery grip with their sale priced D750 body. That's what makes me think that the D750 may soon be replaced and if so (and if the MB-D16 won't fit on a D760 or whatever), then it won't find any new buyers and it will just clog inventory. At least the MB-D16 would have value as a purchasing incentive for anyone considering purchasing a new D750.Price of D750 looks really enticing.
I prefer to shoot D750 over the Sony mirrorless when the results are important. Have shot both a lot. Watching Sony like a hawk for improvements.Because Nikon is crumbling and strapped for cash. They need to sell off these old, outdated cameras that no one wants to show a profit on next quarter's financials otherwise their investors are going to be mad.Why are these sales going on? It is an annual thing?

So buy your HDMI cables at Best Buy. Most Nikon owners (and owners of other brand cameras) quickly learn that parts and accessories for their cameras are almost universally priced outrageously high. But they work and they work well. The MBD wouldn't clog inventory if Nikon didn't charge their usual outrageous $300. I don't recall ever seeing Nikon's battery grips, teleconverters or other esoteric gear like Nikon's clear glass filters there. Way too expensive for Best Buy. If that's what you want you go to real camera stores like B&H, Adorama, Cameta, etc.Order Date: 01/25/2015

......I don't see that deal. This is what I see:Even NikonUSA is including a free MB-D16 battery grip with their sale priced D750 body.
According to B&H (I just got off the phone with them), Nikon also doesn't have any D750 battery grips in stock. I wasn't given any convincing reasons for this so as far as I'm concerned the jury is still out. But it could be that NikonUSA's website plays Adorama's website game gwhere the battery grip would appear to be in stock, showing up in the shopping cart and only after trying to complete the purchase would a notice pop up saying that "the battery grip is currently unavailable". At least B&H lets us know in advance that the grip is currently not in stock.Hi,
You have to select an option
That's REALLY interesting. I was quite literally on that NikonUSA link just Sunday morning(?), and the grip was definitely a purchase option.... nice if someone tried to buy a D750 from NikonUSA and let us know whether the battery grip is actually in stock.
