Was looking at my X-T2 the other day and noticed that I have lost my sync terminal cap - this happened to me on my X-T1 as well. I remember my Nikon D2x had the same issue - I was so happy when Nikon switched to the rubber flips instead of the screw in caps.

Anyone know where one can get replacements for cheap?

You can buy a Fuji cover kit from Amazon. Comes with hot shoe cover, terminal cover, and the bottom connection rubber cover (in case you use the battery grip). Not expensive.

First thing I discarded during film days when flash was necessary. Tens of thousands of exposures with no ill effects.

I nearly last mine on the first day. It wasn't screwed on tightly when I took it out of the box. I picked it up off the floor, screwed it back in tightly and it has been good for the last couple of weeks. Fingers crossed. I had to stop myself from using some crazy glue to keep it in place.

Thx!

Done!

Are these a universal item? I found some listed for Nikons and Fuji S3s, but not for the X-T series...

I think the Sync caps are universal(?); mine fell off the X-T2 at a very early stage but the dealer kindly mailed me a spare they had.

In month 2, it disappeared again so I bought 5x Nikon ones from Ebay for very little but now cover the new cap with tape to stop it happening again.

Maybe this is a Fuji design issue as I have never lost a cap from a previous camera make.

who hasn't lost it you mean?

I lost mine twice in the first two weeks of using my new X-T2. I was getting annoyed at how easy they just came off. Finally, after buying the replacement package two times I finally got it put on tight and it has not come off since. It seems they need to screw in, not just push them to pop them in the hole.

I did not want to leave it off since I did not want the weather sealing to be compromised.

I lost it too from my XT-2..! And I didn't find the replacement yet anywhere... 😞.

Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks.

The now DISCONTINUED X-T2 CVR-XT2 kit comprised of a sync terminal, rubber seal for body terminal for grip, and a Hot-shoe cover. Some vendors might still carry these.

That kit has been replaced with the CVR-XT3 kit. This includes the same sync terminal cover, X-T2 body terminal cover, and hot-shoe cover, and adds an X-T3 body terminal cover, and a spare removable side-cover door. this kit is available from B&H and Amazon.

The same screw cover that is made for Nikon D200 bodies works for my X-T. Should work for yours too? Plentiful on eBay.

Same here. Since I screwed it back in though it hasn’t budged.

After losing more than a few, I taped one of the cheap amazon ones down with gaffers tape. I’ve got a similar problem with hotshoe covers.

I have... on every single camera I have owned (that had a cap) since 1982.

I bought a pack of 20 on ebay a while back. Glad I did. I think I've lost at least 5 of them. Just keep screwing a new one from the pack I got:)

I was hoping someone would find it. Thanks! :-)

I always remove the cap and replace it with Sugru. Never comes off, tidier and seals perfectly. It is easily removed when I sell the body when I put the original cap back.
