On the D500, I can't seem to figure out (if it is even at all possible) to have displayed in the viewfinder the ISO value if I have Auto ISO value enabled.

There must be an option somewhere buried in the menu.....I hope.

Help!

Mine is in the bottom-right corner until I half-press the shutter. When I half-press the shutter it switches to the remaining buffer capacity.
That's correct personally I'm not interested in seeing remaining buffer capacity , I want to see the iso varying as I pan around

CUSTOM SETTING MENU -> d Shooting/display -> d3 ISO display -> Show ISO sensitivity

When you activate the camera it will show the ISO, bottom right. You can press almost any button and it will still display ISO. But while you half-press the shutter release, the display will change to show shots remaining in the buffer, it will revert back to ISO when you release the shutter button.

If you use AF-ON, it will still show the ISO value while you press that. Only the half-press of the shutter button will change to shots remaining in the buffer.

Note that "shots remaining" are for the actual buffer, not the "200 continuous" remaining shots, which is attained because the buffer is written to the cards so fast :-)

THANKS!!!

I don't see any real value of having the "Shots remaining" known....it's not like a thing that can be controlled.

I remember with the D300 and the small cards we had back then it was a huge concern. (not so much anymore) Even worse it was not NEARLY as accurate a count as it is now.
