Now available for download. It's super simple software that only does one thing. Allows tethered shooting for select cameras. You can set the receiving directory and jpg and/or raw files to transfer and optionally record to the internal SD card. I've found it simple and FAST with USB 3.0.

Depending on your host photo software, you might set that same acquire directory as a watched folder and be able to quickly review shots. I've setup that folder to auto sync between a tethered notebook and my desktop using Resilio (formerly BitTorrent) Sync. Personally, I'm happy they kept it super simple and didn't add a bunch of features for remote control.

I also like it. Works perfectly on my Mac.

I installed this on both my mac and PC and the software doesn't even launch on either.:(

Plus if you want remote control, there is always HS-V5 or the Adobe/Fuji Tether Shooting Plug-in PRO.

A few more comments on Fujifilm X Acquire...

When combined with FastPictureViewer Pro, you can view new shots coming into your acquire folder almost instantly. Two fast programs in combination gives a very nice outcome.

Unfortunately you can't combine the smartphone remote control software with the tethered transfer. I kinda sense this happens because of a limitation of the X-T2 firmware and possibly also the feature set of the remote smartphone software which can also transfer images.

I've always found the Fuji remote offerings complicated from the perspective of what you have to purchase to achieve a given capability and sometimes it appeared dependent on what version you have. Seems like you have to buy part from Fuji and part of Adobe to make it work.

So my question... If you're not a user of LR, will HS-V5 do anything on its own? I know you've given very detailed descriptions in the past, so a simple yes/no would be helpful without doing a bunch of digging.
HS-V5 is available from Fuji but you can get Tether Shooting Plug-in Pro from Adobe

If you own an X-T1, you will get the most benefit out of HS-V5 . For some reason, Fuji took out features if you have an X-T2.

I suggest you look at the HS-V5 comparison to see if the features you are looking for are there for your X-T1 or X-T2. I've got both the Adobe and Fuji software and I like the Adobe software better because it restored some features that the X-T1 had with HS-V5 and put them on the X-T2.

If you are not an LR user, then it will depend on the camera you are trying to connect. If you have an X-T1, I think HS-V5 will work well for you. For me, the lack of Live View on the X-T2 was a deal breaker. Maybe they will restore it in ver 1.4.

I've got X Acquire and everything set up in Lightroom for auto import on a watched folder. Only, when I take a shot, Lightroom shows the import dialogue window. I don't want this. I want to go straight to Library or Develop mode.

Something is definately wrong. Because if I do click the import button in the import dialogue, LR says it can't find the image. Logical, because it has already been moved into the designated auto import folder.

Any tips greatly appreciated!

Solved! I had linked Fujifilm to X acquire in the preferences. That was activating the import dialogue. Turned that off and no more problems!
