Hi

Does anyone know of software that can talk to Sony camers over Wi-Fi in place of PlayMemories Mobile? I've got an app on my iPad (GoCamera 3) that does this but offers little over the Sony software as far as I can tell.

I like the idea of using my QX1 for timelapse driven from say an iPad but am mainly intrested in having a play to see what I can do with it.

Has anyone played around with the pysony libary on pypi?

Thanks for that, looks really intresting sadly I don't own a Windows system, might me able to use it at work. It's .net so could be possible to port.

I finally got around to downloading DigiCamControl

Neither WU 1a/1b nor DSLRDASHBOARDSEVER appear to work having set the IP to 192.168.122.1, this is under the stable 2.0.0.0 release.

I then tried the beta version 2.0.69.0, Selected "sony" with ip set to <auto> and it connected. The Lv button gave me a live view.

Seems to have all the features of the existing sony iOS app plus things like time-lapse which could be very handy. The edge detection on the live view was great for focusing my old Manual focuse lenses.

Not had much of a play but this app apears to be exactly what I need it's just a pain that it only works on Windows. Sadly the only Windows hardware I have is my work laptop which is far to big and heavy to lug around on holiday. I think it runs on .net so it might be possible to port to OSX / Linux.

I think this could be really usefull for my QX1 and get the best out of it unlike the Sony app, just a shame it's limited to such poor hardware.
