Keep this in Mind (I once used silver for a landscape and gave it away)

Our white surface brightens color and brings out the best in all kinds of photos. This is the safest bet for gorgeous results as the colors stay true to the original image. It is excellent for preserving detail and showcasing your image.

Our silver surface provides a brilliant effect, transforming and adding new life to your images. The metal shows through the image, especially with lighter colors. This option is great with very vibrant photos and black and white images without people.

Please Note: On the silver surface, whites become metallic silver and light colors can become washed out. Some of the fine details and contrast will be lost on the silver surface.

Thank you very much for sharing this, Bill.

Yesterday, I was deciding what finish to pick for my metal prints, and came across this video which helped a lot:

I did not pick the silver, and reading your post this morning, I'm glad I didn't. :-)

Thanks Bill. Which company do you use?

I wonder how the aluminum would look for some of my neon at night shots?

Bill,

Seems you need to crop or resize by pixel count to match the metal plate ratios, which vary by size

20 x 30 = 1.50 ratio, equal to 3:2 sensor ratio which is 1.50

16 x 20 = 1.25 ratio, closest to 4:3 sensor ratio which is 1.33

11 x 14 = 1.27 ratio, also closest to 4:3 sensor ratio which is 1.33

Any advice?
