Yes it's true - the a99ii is not perfect - I have been critical of its failure to support hybrid AF with legacy and third party lenses, but nevertheless, I like the camera - it works well, feels good in the hand and you can't argue with the IQ. These were processed from IDC and into PS. Bear in mind that depth of field is shallow due to use of a long lens. PP noise reduction was applied only in PS via the Noiseware plugin, that I tuned to my tastes, and then some edge sharpening.

The 100% crop looks amazing to me, as I would expect from a FF camera. On the other hand, the bokeh of some of the shots does not impress me.

well I'm still adjusting to the fact that I will have to stop saving TIFFs and switch to JPEGs from my processed raws as the TIFFS are 243MB !

This isn't really all that useful.....can you just post the raws at 12800?

Holy cow - this one is mind blowing to me. I know the texture of the wood carving lends itself to taking a ton of noise reduction without looking blotchy, but I'm really impressed with the performance at ISO 12800. Can't wait for mine to ship...

Thank you Marco those are real nice and hold up well , I am pretty stoked to receive mine as I sold my 99 a while back and miss the full size FF , Question did Sony omit the MFNR function in the ISO setting ? I use that alot and has produced some good images that would not be doable in conventional settings.

BTW that looks like the Surrey Sculpture Park near Farnham? A great location for some surreal photos!
