So - I am working on consciously improving my photography skills. And today's exploration is with flash photography.
The first thing done with a new flash, is point that sucker at your subject and WHAMMO! freedom from light constraints.
However, apparently WHERE the light is coming from is important. Because - direct flash is pretty harsh. As in prison portrait harsh.

Thus - an exploration in the ideas of lighting and flash photography resulted in not only bounce lighting, but side bounce lighting. Yes, it boggles the mind, having your light coming from two different directions - but the results are clear:

Not sure where the sunglasses came from. I assume bounce lighting is so cool that sunglasses just appear.
As you can see, quite the difference.
Plus - as you can see. FREE sunglasses!
