Early morning encounter with a young roe buck

It's the first time we see a roe buck coming that near in our garden. It seemed quiet and didn't look injured. It stayed one hour.

Very cool shots and very cool experience...nice to get such closeups of a wild animal. I like in particular the shot with the cat and doe nose to nose...my cat has only ever experienced squirrels and raccoons at the window that close - the squirrels she wants to eat and the raccoons scare her off the windowsill.
 
No mommy nearby? Amazingly close.

Does eye AF work on deer? ;)
 
Yes he was lost.

Unfortunately no eye af :) but the C-AF did a great job however!
 
He came back the next day, but this time, he stayed the whole morning in our garden. Some neighbours came to drive him to the forest nearby.

I hope he found back his family.
