At $3500 for 5D Mark IV and $1400 for 80D (costco price), what additional features does Mark IV provide for $2100 difference apart from the ones listed below

+ Full sensor size vs APS-C

+ Better weather sealing

+ More Autofocus points (61 vs 45)

+ 4K video

+ Possibly more dynamic range

- No flippy screen

Are there any hidden features that I am missing ? I am assuming the touch interface for focusing and interacting with the camera is same on both of them.

The FF is the big thing. I used to use xxD but now I use the 5D series. I don't take videos

GPS is missing on 80D

USB 3.0 vs 2.0 on 80D

LCD resolution 1.6M vs 1M on 80D

2 cards slots vs 1 on 80D

5D4 focus more accurate and workable at lower light and on f8 lens

Other than that if you have chance to put them side by side, you will find dozens of not so obvious things here and there that 5D4 may help you to take a good shot easier.

Example

To your eyes, image from 5D4's 0.71x full frame viewfinder is 43% bigger than 80D's 0.95x 1.6 crop viewfinder, helping you see the picture you are about to take much better. 5D4 viewfinder also has intelligent extras such as 2 axis electronic levels....

FF sensor allows you to use lens in the way it is supposed to.

If you have more money to burn on prime L lens, FF body is a MUST. If you just buy kit lens, 50/1.8 or 70-200/4 at most, 80D is fine. If some day you would fall in love with 50/1.2 or 35/1.4, you want a 6D if 5DIV is beyond your budget.

Stupid wildlife photographers mounting their 200-400 f/4's to 7D2's... don't they know they aren't using their lenses correctly!

The 5d iv will also allow you to better track moving subjects, essential in sports photography. Of course you can do the same thing with the 7d iii for less
