New here...old man (me ;-)) with old lady (D700)

Hi all,

I was reading here for a long time and today I decided to sign in.

First of all I must say that English is not my native language, so I hope you'll understand my writing anyway...

I am using Nikon Gear for equitation photos and a Fuji X-T10 for nearly all the other things. So I can say that I do like both systems.

I think best introduction is one of my latest photos done with my D700 and Sigma 120-300 S...

I thought you meant equestrian photography, then I learned that equitation is what you truly meant, so your grasp of that piece of English is greater than mine. Nice photo.

I, too, was a long-time reader of DPR, before registering. The Nikon SLR Lens Talk section was my most-read section. I used Nikkor AI-S lenses, with a Novoflex EOS/NIK adapter, on Canon DSLR cameras for a while before adding Nikon FM3A and F6 film SLRs. When the price of nice pre-owned D700 cameras dropped to ~$1100 US, in 2014, I then started adding D700 cameras, which remain favorites.

thank you!!

I fell in love with the D700 a few years ago (when it came out) and it is still a pleasure to use. For the moment I see no other Nikon that could make me buy it. D5 is great but simply much too expensive...for me. ;-)
