Could this lead to a change for a better Precision experience?

One owner will get the service he should have received in the first place, but don't expect any lasting changes from this sh_t storm!

Who knows, a hit to their reputation on social media may cause Sony to put pressure on Precision.

Im curious if "scam" is the right word tho....
This topic was already deleted once, curious if this one will remain. Having said that, where is the scam?
The scam was that they used the screws on the outside of the camera as "Evidence" of water damage.

If there was evidence on the inside, I would understand. Also, arent those camera's supposed to be weather sealed?

Anyways, I had my own issues with Precision. Ending with a broken A850 and 13 missing screws... They sent me back a camera with THIRTEEN missing screws!

I don't know if that is a scam, but it is a weak excuse if they did not open up the camera.

There are countless bad stories about that place. Luckily, I live where Sony handles their own repairs. You'd think at this point, they would be able to open up a clean room in St. Louis, hire 20 repair guys, and be rid of the headaches.

Well that would explain why I didn't find it searching before posting. Curious as to why tho...

I think it was the way he worded his tittle, seemed like nothing but a flamer.

My A-77 LCD and viewfinder is toast after 70,000 clicks. Remove & reinserting the battery sometimes helps, but often doesn't. I don't trust Precision enough to send it in. So, I now have an A-68.

Not sure if the A-77 is worth fixing, but the A-68 is very similar to the A-77 in actual use and has a few upgrades - like the focus limiter.

Maybe I'll send in the A-77 and see what happens. If I find Precision to be unfair, I can take it up with my credit card company.
