>What do you mean by "constant shooting".
By constant usage I just mean a lot of shooting, not necessarily burst mode. I noticed after taking say 10 pictures over 15 minutes the S7 began to heat up and the battery went down about 8 percent. So for a typical vacation day of shooting, a cell phone just won’t cut it. I’ll have to check out the Sony. In the early days Sony pictures seemed too yellow and Fuji pics too blue and green so hopefully they aren’t anymore.. I have the Canon EOS70D with the kit lenses and don’t think the picture quality is as good as the S7, so that’s why I’d like to get as close to the S7 as I can with a compact if it can be done.
Strange, I have taken over 20 shots simultaneous DNG and JPG easily in under 5 minutes and the phone does not heat up or use anywhere close to 8% battery. It may be possible you may have another app running in the background while you are capturing images? One has to remember Android smartphones are capable of multitasking.
With respect to image quality. It is very unusual for the S7 to be able to capture better image quality over a Canon 70D, unless the kit lens is faulty, 70D camera is faulty, or possible operator errors? Canon kit lenses in general may not be as good as using Canon L lenses, but the level of quality should not fall below a S7 camera.
