I have re charged my battery twice - and tested another battery but nothing happens - when you switch on - no change

Anything happen preceding the last charge of your batteries? Mucky contacts in the battery bay? How long have you owned it, might be a warranty job?

Sorry to say, it's broken. :(

Unfortunately it's unlikely to be a problem you could diagnose or repair yourself. Could be something 'simple' like a blown protection circuit, failed voltage regulator, bad power switch, or a loose connector on the battery terminal. Or it could be that the entire motherboard has suffered a catastrophic failure.

:(

Sorry for your bad luck.

Curious . . . purchased new? refurb? how many exposures?

Let us know how this resolves.

I would hope that even if out of warranty that Nikon would repair @NC for customer goodwill. Good luck, and I hope that it is something simple.

Time to ship it off to service sorry to say. I've owned many Nikons over the decades including every model from the D70-D7200 and have only had one problem. That was with the D80 after a few years the shutter died = $200 repair.

My purchases are always Factory refurb or the last few years imports / "grey market" and never a problem with any of those, D80 was new Nikon USA (and my last New Nikon USA).

What does it look like with the off/on switch in the on position?

How many shots are on it?

Any 3rd party stuff like battery grip or batteries?

Any damage in the past, drops, etc?

If you've used two different batteries than I'd say it's pretty much automatically dead unfortunately - I'm just trying to get an idea as to how (as it's incredibly difficult to kill these) but stuff happens.

Referbs are selling cheap if the nikon repair comes back to high $$$

Hi there

Had my d7200 for only 2 days and it died on me... I took pics the night before all working 100% then the next morning it was dead, no lcd, nothing.. full battery. ..

I took it back to the shop and they gave me a new one...

Now for my observations... what happened the night before.. can anyone else relate to a dead 7200

1 I used 3rd party Windows wifi software to control the camera... basically took a pic and dowloaded it... could this have killed it... qDlsrDashboard it worked 100%

2 before using the camera the next day I changed lenses. Used my old Nikon 70 300mm lens that stil uses motor drive...

NOthing else..

Tx Ben
