Nicely caught.

Possible paths to try:

Cropping the two birds at right to make the composition tighter.

Being at the mercy of huge DOF of cameraphone, you might experiment with slightly defocussing the trees and lawn behind him to get a bit of separation.

Trying in BW

Thanks... The cameraphone is a wide angle picture. I already cropped at ton from all sides. But I think an even tighter crop would be really good, but felt it might become portrait territory rather than street.

haha his demeanor is that of comfort. I'm sure he is on a first name basis with his winged and furry friends!

both the graphic story telling of photojournalism and the art of street can co exist to some extent in the same image. they do in this. A quiet nice factual shot of a man who is feeding and befriending the pegeons. Also a quite nice street shot which I like

Please ignore the advice about tight cropping.

It looks like the same photo everyone else would do with the cropping is why.

Street photography looks better a little 'loose.'

that's just my aesthetic taste.

Crop, and edit, according to what makes the specific image reveal your intent for its content and impact, not according to some external concept or 'Rule' how pictures like this 'should' look.
