Thank you very much for your feedback!I received the FE 70-300 for 4 days, and tested it with the A6300, as the A6300 is the one really need a tele lens with OSS, because A6300 does not have IBIS.
The result is good. In fact, I compare photos with the A mount 70-300 G2 that I tested with A7rII ( with LE-EA3 and LA-EA4) last August ( after the testing I returned the A mount 70-300 G2 as it is not good at all), at the 300mm end ( I think the IQ at the tele end is most important for user), both at f8 and I crop for about the same size, you can see below the big difference.
A6300 + Sony FE 70-300 at 300mm, f8, 1/250, ISO 160
A7rII + LA-EA3 + A mount 70-300 G2 at 300mm, f8, 1/250, ISO 200
The FE70-300 lens seems quite good even at wide open.
I tried shooting my two dogs with A6300 this morning at the park for the AF tracking, also seems reasonably good. It seems to me the locked AF is good for tracking the running dogs.
If you can upload any of those shots then that would be great! Dogs are great subjects for lens testing.I tried shooting my two dogs with A6300 this morning at the park for the AF tracking, also seems reasonably good. It seems to me the locked AF is good for tracking the running dogs.
The zoom does not creep at all, the friction of the zoom ring is very good that I do not real it is tight, but it also does not creep even if I place it vertically, I do not use the lock button at all. Since the whole lens can fit the palm, so the zoom ring is in the right place for the thumb and index fingers to turn it while the focus ring in the closer side is seldom used. Also there is a "stop focus" button located on the left side which can be used to stop focus and re-frame easily.Thank you very much for your feedback!I received the FE 70-300 for 4 days, and tested it with the A6300, as the A6300 is the one really need a tele lens with OSS, because A6300 does not have IBIS.

From the images I saw so far, it seems Sony made a very good 70-300 (alternative) zoom...
My only concerns still are the eventual zoom creep (it has a lock button for this reason, I guess...), the opposite arrangement of the focus and zoom rings, and finally, the missing tripod shoe...
Care to comment about these "issues" of mine?
TIA,
All the best,
Pedro

I think the miss of tripod ring is because the whole lens is rather small and light weight. When use with A6300 it may be a bit unbalance, but on A7rII, it is quite OK and I think with a reasonable good tripod head for mount on the A7rII bottom, there is completely no problem of unbalance of the camera and lens.
Sure, but I have to shrink the size of the photo ( original are 6000 x 4000 pixel) to be able to post here, and I do not use things such as drop box, so will be difficult to provide in original size.If you can upload any of those shots then that would be great!
