That's great, Ken. Wonderful expression and body language. The subject looks like an interesting character. I guess it's up to us, the viewers, to imagine what they might be saying - perhaps it's a good joke, or maybe they're talking politics.

Nice moment, animated gesture and expressions imply genuine connections.

The directionality of the glances and gesture carry the eye out of the frame to the left. I'm between annoyed and intrigued at not knowing what's there.

The back of the guy's head between the legs is kind of a deal killer, though.

Thanks for the comments. The man in the chair is getting a shoeshine. This one stayed in the archive until today because it could easily be misinterpreted. It is easy to imply a power hierarchy from the composition. I finally decided the image documents a moment in time and left it at that.

Well, I certainly do not understand the different levels of excellence as do others on this forum. I defer to your judgment.

For me, Ken obtains very well represented skin tones and overall BW presentation.

Or maybe you were referring to the composition reference?

I welcome more specific information regarding what would really be excellent, and why somethings is not excellent or superb.

We can separate preference from authentic quality after that.
