Gocha,

Tell me, was the pic taken of the match heads handheld? If so then then that IS impressive!

Mike

Thanks. Not bad bokeh. I'm waiting to see results from a FF.

Mike,

only this Picture was taken on mini Tripod (1/4 sec, ISO 100).

This ''new'' Tamron macro lens is basically the same previous SP 90 f/2.8 VC USD lens, just different casing. About the same image quality is to be expected. And IQ was great on the previous version. Is it new casing, though weather sealed worth the extra money? That is the real question. The only good thing is TAP-in console compatibility. All in all it's just make-up and cosmetics :)

The New One is cheaper than an Old Model (F004) ;-)

Hehe, perfect comeback to an "I am envious outburst".

In addition, they have also improved the VC if I am not mistaken.

Lovely pics, looks to be an extremely great lens offering outstanding value for money.

I am surely in the market for this one.

Yes, you're right! At least at B&H or elsewhere in the States. But in Europe, Amazon.de i.e. sells older version for 420€ while newer is 750€. So I guess it all depends where you're buying.

Hi

I just got mine last Friday.

Haven't had much time to play with it.

The thing I can say about it is the focus speed, is amazing.

I own a sigma 150m f2.8, and got a canon 100mm f2.8 sleeping in the closet.

And this thing beats them all when it comes to focus.

Here is a quick shot I took on my wife's fiber tree.

Taken with a Nikon D750

Untouched, just resized.

Very nice photos. I've have my Nikon 60mm F2.8 D for a couple of years now. Purchased the new Tamron 35 F1.8 VC and I'm very pleased with it. The 90 seems to be of the same build quality as the 35 and I imagined the photos would be just as nice.
