As long as you mean her left eye, and not the one from your camera's POV, then yes, it's absolutely backfocusing.
Just swapped out my lens/camera combination to the D5 and Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR II. Did some fine tune adjustments this morning and I'm second guessing myself. In these three photos below would you consider these to be sharp or in focus? Nothing done to them except adobe DNG conversion. No sharpening added either. Thanks for your help!
P.S. These aren't close to the best shots, just examples I wanted eyes on. No judgement!
Add another vote for the first two being in good enough focus that you don't need to adjust any more, and for the third suiffering from camera motion blur - even the grass is blurry throughout, so it isn't just the moving horse that's the problem.The last one appears to be suffering from motion blur. If you use the loupe to look at the grass/ground, and start at the front (bottom edge of the photo) and work back, it isn't sharp anywhere. However, the horse's head is more or less in focus, so you've not missed focus completely, which means that the grass should be perfectly in focus at some distance.
