Initially, I thought the lens was a little soft, but most of that can be chalked up to the fixed f/5.6 aperture resulting in higher (noisier) sensitivity settings. Some of it can also be attributed to the wide focal length, so that in order to see detail, in one part of the image, a fellow has to zoom into that image a LOT.
One interesting tidbit about the first pic: The chain across the top of the image was actually bent, and the ones at the side were straight. But the fisheye reversed it!
Looking down at my daughter climbing a jungle gym. I seem to have lost the EXIF data on this one when I ran it through DxO FilmPack.

I bought this lens with a sense of adventure. Pentax was smart to price it under $100, so there is a tendency to feel there's not much risk. I love it now, and I chalk this up as one reason to get a Q instead of a fixed lens compact. (though I do like those too!)
