Hello!

My a6000, at some point, has started adding an underscore to the beginning of the filename; so a file named IMG_3015 is on my card as _IMG_3015. I am shooting RAW only. I noticed the change but by then I had populated my Lightroom catalog. Oddly, even with the prepended underscore, the serial nature of the file naming remains correct.

I did check through this forum and some other resources and have not found a similar post. If I missed it here, please just send me to the right thread. Thank you!!

Have you set the 'Color Space' option in the Camera Tab 6 to 'Adobe RGB' by any chance?

Choosing AdobeRGB changes the file name? That's quite the odd artifact. I had the same thing happen on my a6000. Mystery solved. Thanks!

Actually, this is not a Sony thing but part of the DCF specification camera manufacturers follow. In other words, if your camera supports AdobeRGB, it is supposed to prefix the "_".
