Have no time to process these till now.

I am amaze at the close up ability of DP1M given that it is technically a wide angle camera. Wish I had my DP3M with me, but have to travel light.

Note: Second photo is cropped about 50%.

Old and New.

Where are you going? Riding a ferry to find more food or mate?

Thanks. Glad you like the details. It is the magic of the Merrill sensor.

I have an SD1M. No matter what - perhaps I shouldn't say this in the current environment of the advent of the SD Qs, but - that magic is almost always guaranteed, not having to be searched for in most Q pics. Oh, some have got it, but...

I totally agree, that is why I am still sticking to my 2 Merrill up till now.

I even lookup the price of an SD1M just now at ebay. :) Still quite expensive at just below $1K.

Also searching for some very old site that show a conversion of the SA mount to an EF one. Seems like they have only done it to sigma camera up to SD14. There is an conversion kit for SD1M to Leica-R on ebay.

It will be sweet to be able to use EF lenses on SD1M.

Never really try close up with dp1m till this example. And like I said I am surprise at how close it can get.

I always use dp3m for close up. How do you think that (dp3m) compare to dp1m for close up in your experience?

Depends on what effect you want to create.
Wide angle cøose up is different from tele close up.
