I want to upgrade my camera. What is most cheapest full frame camera for any brand?

Beyond the body there are host of other costs to consider to get the most, like lens :-)

And why does one need/want a cheapest FF versus possibly a more modern crop / mirrorless ?

I wonder the same thing as the other poster. Why full frame? What is your current camera not doing for you that a FF in unquestionably would?

Also. What do you shoot? How much is your total budget for lenses and the camera. Total system is important too. Unless you have a lot of exotic needs, a Pentax K-1 might well be the budget choice. A K-1 with a 50/1.4, a 100mm macro, a 300/4 and a 28-105 walk round lens would be $3812. A D610, which is a lower resolution camera with fewer features with a 50/1.8 Tamron and Nikon VR 105mm macro, 300/4 and the 24-85 walk around is about $5480.(I picked all stabilized lenses for the Nikon since all lenses are stabilized on the Pentax due to in-body stabilization).

yes, the Nikon might be a bit cheaper, but for many users, it is a far poorer value and more expensive once you start building a system.

Bought the Sony A7 kit (28-70) new for €999 in november.

I'd recommend first sorting your lens(es) before getting into any system.

Your subject(s) dictate what lens and system you might need.

While you may find some old full-frame cameras at ridiculously low prices, the more modern APS-C cameras at the same price will most likely outperform them in every regard. For example, the original Canon 5D produces images with pretty much the same levels of noise as a Nikon D3300 at the same ISO, and the D3300 offers a far superior dynamic range, at least at the lower ISOs. That is what 9 years of sensor development can do.

Also, the D3300 has a lot of "convenience" advantages and features the old 5D doesn't have; for instance, a larger and better LCD display, and movie recording capabilities.
