Hello there,
I recently noticed a strange thing with my 650D - my zoom lenses 18-55 and 55-250 both stm, make this weird clocking/grinding noise while zooming and it gets worse while using video mode.
these noises are not very loud and you can hear them only when you get close to the camera and use it with you eye and not the screen.
when the lenses are disconnected from the body there is no noise, but when connected they do make this noise.
i went to my canon warranty provider and he checked the camera and said everything is alright, but everything is not alright since i tried this on his 60D at the store and the noise was gone.
he said they use a special machine made by canon to check errors and they checked it manually as well but everything is ok.
i suspect that this is some minor issue that doesnt effect the photography itself, but it is very annoying for an audiophile such as myself. i think the noise comes from the mount or something like that...
what do you think guys?
i appreciate it so much,
