Partha created a Windows build of DarkTable. It works quite well!

As a long time user of Lightroom who's considering every option now that it's seemingly reached its standalone zenith (and I've no intention of being sucked into the rental thing), I'd be interested to see how this compares.

At the same time, I'm just a bit concerned about installing this on my machine.

Any views . . . ?

I am using this tool on Linux (Ubuntu) since its first versions. It rapidly grew and became full fledged tool doing very well. I can't compare against Lightroom. I have to admit that I'm a bit curious about that. Its nice that finally someone found a way to port it to Linux.
