Possible with the new MB and, say, the Canon 50 STM? It AFs well, but was hoping I could get MF assist for precision as I did with my native glass on my A6000. No dice so far. Any have luck with this (or know how to do it?)? This would be amazing for precision focus. Thank you much

At least with their official documentation, this supposedly requires putting the adapter into "advanced" mode.

If you're using "advanced" mode does MF Assist work with any of your other lenses?

I use the Metabones Canon EF to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter and have no problem with manual focus. Make sure you select manual focus in-camera and have manual focus assist turned on. I use my AF/MF button to switch between autofocus and manual focus and my C1 button to magnify the image while manually focusing. I also set focus peaking to red - low.

Put the adapter into Advanced Mode as the default by attaching the adapter to a lens. Then you have to mount the lens+adapter combo on the body with the body switched on and the wide open button held down. Keep holding the wide open button down and switch off the body. Now the adapter should be in Advanced Mode on power up. If you find it reverts to Green Mode after switching it off, it means you let go of the button before switching the body off.

My 24mm TSE II works fine. It switches into magnify and peaking if you rotate the focus ring and you can see the focus distance in the display.
