Hi -

I was wondering if anyone could help me, and knew how to tether a Nikon P900 camera to a computer monitor.

Ideal situation would be to just plug in a cable and duplicate what I see on my LCD monitor on a computer screen (so instead of a tiny little image, I get a big one), but it seems Nikon ONLY allows you to go into the "menu" area (where you've already 'taken' photos).

Then, I found out there is something called "tethering", so I've tried 10 different products, but none of them seem to work. (I.e. lightroom, captureone, and various other opensource, etc programs).

It's quite possible I don't know how to do something, or I need to install some driver or something (because I never knew you had to do use 3rd party software just to duplicate a display).

Anyways - if you could please help me, I'd greatly appreciate that! I've already spent 2+ hours on this trying to figure it out, but to no avail. It would be great if you knew!

Thanks very much!

Hi All,

I tried to use the digiCamControl with my P900. Using the current stable release I am unable to make much use of the software.

The program recognizes the camera but does not show me the lcd display nor can it control any of the camera settings.

It will, however, trigger the shutter but I do not know what the camera is seeing since there is no display on either the camera or the monitor.

Am I missing something?

Mine is connected to my windows PC. It only responds to shutter release and I see the images. Not able to use any other functions except I seem to have the "timelapse" function working. Connected to my windows 10 laptop, it another story. Not even able to load the program. I tries older versions, but no luck.

The program doesn't list the P900 for compatability
