The TLDR version -

Pros
  • Great image quality, minor flaws are easily correctable
  • Small & lightweight
  • Excellent AF performance
Cons
  • Very expensive
  • Slow, especially for the money, with only f/2.8 maximum aperture
  • Manual focus is clunky
Conclusion

If you're looking for a small, light prime lens and aren't too fussed about the fairly bland f/2.8 aperture then this lens is great. It's definitely too expensive but at the same time it's definitely a quality option.

Great shots.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this lens. It's crazy sharp, even when pixel peeping on my A7rII. The only drawback, really, is the f/2.8 aperture. I'd also say that the bokeh can be a little busy, depending on the specific type of shot.

Cons
  • Very expensive
It's actually one of the cheapest lenses. Only FE28 prime is cheaper, all other primes are more expensive.
  • Slow, especially for the money, with only f/2.8 maximum aperture
Again, same thing, every other prime (except FE28) is more expensive.
  • Manual focus is clunky
Really? MF on pancake AF lens is a bit clunky to you? Oh, no, I thought it would be not clunky and at least like on Loxia lenses, right? Gee.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm the OP. I'll take all your useful points into account for my next review.
