Hi guys, can anyone tell me how to get rid of the MOVIE recording starts with with MOVIE button. still image is invalid in this mode blablabla. i'm a noob and i can't figure out how to switch the mode so i can film. please help

Unfortunately, the only way to record movies with the A6000 is with that stupid tiny video record button - it's on the rear-right corner of the camera near the top, it's a tiny black button with a red dot inside it.

Tip: This button works even when the camera is in a still picture mode, which allows you to set shutter/aperture priority, program mode, or manual mode, then record video with whatever settings you chose.

In constant-light conditions I always shoot manual and try to target the shutter speed for 1/50 when shooting at 24 fps.

Personally I saved my movie settings into M2 so I can quickly switch between photo and film (I set a neutral -3 -1 -1 profile like Philip Bloom for video). I also found it's best to use a ND filter when it's sunny (I don't want to use F22).

How do I get the videos from the camera to my phone? Do I have to pull the sd card and use my computer?

on the dial on the top to the left side - there are icons showing p,a,s,m,mr,something that resembles a movie, scn, and I with a camera next to it in green. i recommend getting a canon 1200d or 600d as it is the most beginner friendly camera
