E-M1 3.1 firmware update woes

Hi, is anyone else having issues getting this update to download? The updater app starts off saying 15 minutes to download, and appears to time out after 20 minutes or so at which point (I'm assuming) it tries a different server, at which point it starts telling me it will take 200 minutes to download. Based on these instructions I modified the URL, guessed the 3.1 filename and downloaded a file OLY_E_109_3100_0000_0000.BIN but I'm not sure if the same instructions will work. I've also emailed Olympus support but had no response. FYI I am in Australia

Sorry to hear if your woes, I updated both my EM1 yesterday. took about 5 minutes each. Had created a hotspot on my phone (LTE) to connect my taptop to the internet.

No issues. (i am in malaysia)

With the Camera update program on my computer (the method recommended by Olympus) I had no problems with the download. It took only a few minutes.

How slow is your Internet connection ?

Internet is OK, not super fast but 3.0 I had no issues. I got sick of waiting so ended up using the SD card method and it worked
