Bottom line, this is one of the banes of digital cameras. Only a few years ago the new camera coming out would make a "door stop" out of your camera. $1200.00 in land of high cameras is nothing. Unless a repair would be the cost of a used or better, you now have decoration for your home. If you buy a camera of great cost, digital. You best understand it is not for ever. In the days of film, well just go out and buy a new roll of film. This is not a cheap hoppy. None of the new cameras are a life time investment.
