Hi! Second new D 810 (don't ask:). Last series of photos today have a turquois blue band in the middle of the frame. Then pictures looked gray scale. Then 7/8 of frame has turquois color cast. Then gray scale again. Then turquoise cast is back strongly in highlights. First series was correct color on this trip.

I'm in the third week of this new body.

Do these symptoms sound like a broken sensor? I have never had one. I don't shoot into the sun!

Don't drop or misuse my equipment.

Best,

s

Sample pictures would assist greatly in this instance, but from your description, it sounds potentially like a corrupted card issue, which would mean your sensor (and camera) are fine. Have you tried with a separate card? And could you please post some photos that depict the problem?

Hi Marlon. It's not the card. I tried another one. But it was CF. I should try another SD in the slot. I'll post tomorrow, they are all RAW and we're going to sleep soon. Thanks! Getting up for sunrise.

From reading through these forums some posted suggestions for similar problems are listed below,

1. Has the card been formatted in the camera ?

2. Has another card been tried in the camera to eliminate a card problem ?

3. The method of downloading the images from the card, there were reported problems with some versions of the Nikon transfer software,

I use a Lexar USB 3 card reader without any issues with my D810 nef files

Thanks everyone. Has nothing to do with the card, thanks. Yes, tried other cards. I don't use Nikon software, I transfer directly from card to backups.

I got a new 810 body.

All the best.
