Hello!

I am about to print this photo in B&W but my wife asked if it would be possible to colorize it and remove that pattern on the image....so of course my first thought was DPREVIEW :D
Hoping someone can offer a hand or point me in the right direction. :)

What color are the eyes of each individual in the picture. Do you have a color picture of these family members (not this particular photo)? Color of clothes?

The woman (mother in law) has very light blue eyes and the man also has light green colored eyes, just not as light as the woman. The baby (who is my wife now) has light green eyes.

Thank you guys for the great examples!

Next time try to use the descreen option of your scanner so you won't get those patterns in the scan.

Tried it and got a complete black red channel no white spots. Checked the green and blue gray but no spots. How did you get it to work?

The original size of this image is 3899 x 2678, I reduced the size down to 2899 x 1991 and it worked unfortunately sometimes you have to reduce the size even though the IFF Filter is supposed to work up as high as 4000 x 4000 although its rare when this happens.

worked perfectly. Will add that to my fft run notes. I do not use fft often and I forget how to use it sometimes.

Yes, Patsy is correct. It took me a very long time before I discovered why I was only getting solid black results. Hope this helps others with the FFT/IFFT plugins and thanks to Patsy for bringing it to everyone's attention.

Thanks for the info.. I was going to see what I could do, but those that have been submitted are excellent, so there doesn't appear to be a need for any more tries...

Excellent advice from Patsy and Toermalijn...also great works from Patsy and Babine...

Great thread to learn from especially re FF...

Thanks Patsy for the explanation.
Best wishes

Only when you can criticize yourself, should you criticize others. Mikes.
