Where to buy F601z in Singapore???

I shall be travelling to Singapore in a week's time. Can anyone tell me where I could get the best deal for a Fujifilm F601 camera and what would be the approximate cost in Singapore?

Are they also selling the 6800z model? Does anyone know the approximate price?

Please help as I shall be in Singapore only for 2 days.

Why Singapore? Are they that much cheaper to have it worth not having a warranty?

I got mine with cradle kit and overnight shipping for $410 here in the states.

If u want to get a good deal u might want to visit sim lim square in singapore

Fuji 601Z
Harry, There are several places here.
Sim Lim Square, Orchard Towers, Funan Centre (Victoria St)

You will waste a lot of time by being given low prices that they will not sell the camera for, especially in Sim Lim. The best deal you will get will be around S$680 which will include a 64MB card and USB cradle, (essential to download movies to your PC.) There are also different Video out formats. Here it is normally PAL not NTSC, but you should be able to get NTSC if thats what you want.

They still sell the 6800z as well as the old 4700, but beware of prices as they will tell you the 601 is an old model and the 4700 the later spec!!!.

When you buy anything, check carefully everything is there like battery, charger etc.

Another point to bear in mind is the warranty. Mostly applicable to Singapore only, not worldwide.

If you pay by credit card they will charge an extra 2 or 3%

They will charge GST of 3%, but you will reclaim this at the airport on the way out. Make sure to ask for the claim form when you buy it.

Many thanks for your reply. I am from Mauritius and therefore we use PAL system more than NTSC. From your reply I would imagine that you are from Singapore and would like (if possible) to ask you some specific questions where to shop for it etc, can you please email me on : [email protected] for me to get your email address.

I heard that there is a shop called Mustafa and was told that there prices are amongst the lowest in Singapore, is this true and do u think I can get the F601z there? As I shall be in Singapore for only one day, I shall have very little time to shop around and would appreciate all the guidance you could give me.

Do you know the going rate for the 6800z?
