Anyone hoping for an E-P6?

Unlikely to come, I know, but I would still like a refresh of that line, shrinking EM5II specs into a smaller, metallic body (except for weather sealing and the EVF) with a few additions in the process.

Maybe charge 100-200 less than with previous EP cameras and I'm good to go. :)

I very much like my E-P5 with VF-4. I cannot see anything in the E-M5II that I want moved to an E-P6. I have the 1/8000 shutter, excellent 5-axis IBIS, dual control dials, and convoluted menus. Those are the big features for me. Image quality will be virtually identical.

I see no real reason for an E-P6 except the perception that the E-P5 is becoming an increasingly older model. That would be a poor reason for an update in my opinion. On the other hand, a new zero-noise base ISO 50 sensor would get my attention.

And, no, the 63Mp/40Mp mode of the E-M5II does not interest me enough to upgrade.

I know an EVF is not for everyone, but having one is a necessity for me. If Oly Released an E-P6 with an integrated EVF, I would buy. Unfortunately, I believe it it a longship for Oly to release an E-P5 at all - let alone with an integrated viewfinder.

Dunno about the 40MP mode, but IBIS plus electronic shutter would be sweet for a quiet inconspicuous event/street photography camera.

I think the E-PL7 has gone high end enough that adding a bad built-in flash would hurt rather than help it at this point.

Absolutely!

Silent electronic shutter @ 1/16000, real EFCS, better IBIS, better processing, more AF points, 40 MP HiRes shot, and maybe even the PDAF from the E-M1 – reasons enough for me to upgrade to a hypothetical E-P6 / E-P5 II.

My EP5 is the most beautiful and capable camera I've owned

It's almost perfect for my use

If I were to ask for improvements, they 'd be minor:

1) smaller size and weight (a la EPL7) while retaining both wheels

2) Better longer lasting battery

3) More AF points (81)

4) Electronic shutter (quiet mode)

5) Weatherproof

6) Hi res mode

7) Better optional larger grip

Don't think we'll ever see a EP6 though but hope I'm wrong

I prefer that design to the OMD

Cheers,

At the moment the E-P5 mated with the 12-40mm is perfection for me so will be the keeper for some time now.

What I want is the global shutter to solve a whole host of problems, then I'll move on from the E-P5.
