really?? do you. ...

Keep your eyes peeled, and you'll see plenty of fine shots here.

Maybe you could show us some of yours?

AlisonKim,

In case you haven't noticed ;-) , we Pentaxians are pretty distracted from posting photos right now, what with the news of their entry into the full frame arena. Feel free to check out my simple collection of shots here http://darylkottwitzphoto.smugmug.com, all taken with Pentax cameras from around 2008 to present.

You could also visit the PPG site, which is nothing but Pentax images: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com .

Glad to read that you're joining us - looking forward to seeing you around!

Daryl

Still needs work, but I'm enjoying it so far.

If you want to see pictures, go to the galleries!

Seriously though, there are a few threads that are more about the pictures than the talk. Seek them out, upvote them if you think they're worthy.

20000-30000 photos a year, plus creating photographic related equipment, plus writing a RAW manipulation computer program, plus buying and selling used photo gear to keep my head above water, plus hosting a photography club, along with a day job and I still have time to spend participating in this forum. More photos soon to come.

Or is this forum just all about talk!

I didn't come here to talk specs I came here to see beautiful images!
That's what it all boils down to right? The images these magnificent cameras produce!
we can talk and argue all day.

Just be careful about what you ask. You may get it :)

Nice framing and pleasant landscape.

Nice framing and pleasant landscape.
Extremely kind of you Tatouzou.

Pleasant landscape is a perfect description.

Genuinely a grab shot, but I have been doing it for a little while.

ps: where's the OP?

Shoot in the day and/or with good light anytime and talk or read at night, to see what others are seeing or doing. I like to hear what my brethren are adding here as I find a lot of useful advice from forums. I look at others pics, check the exif and sometimes I will think, really great shot, or they are over or underexposed and ask myself what I would have done better be it in camera, composition or PP.

This is just how I am, but I am sure others do it differently. I am sure we all have a few TB's of pictures over time and I like to learn all I can to get better on my hobby

You came to a hardware review site forum to see pictures .??

Not to long ago you could get banned for posting excessive images in the technical forums (like this one)

As other have stated Pentax photo gallery is one of the best places fro quality Pentax images

IMO http://1x.com/ is one of the best creative photography sites

or if you want to stay here click 'galleries' top right select cameras only and then put pentax in the quick find

if you then click k3 you'll get something like

Not in my opinion the best place to see the best as this is a gear site and many post holiday snaps rather then fine art :D

And that what this site is catering to.!

Not sure how long you've been here (?) but right now its a lot of talk due to new products.

A forum about 'Pentax SLR talk' is a pretty broad title and brings a plethora of different people with different reasons for being here.

We have had people come and go, talk lots and then disappear for a while or never to be seen again for whatever reason. It is many things to many people with differing reasons for being here.

We have those who, in season, post bird photo's, airshow photo's, holiday snaps and every other conceivable subject such as frogs .........

We have those whose technical knowledge is able to shed light on photo taking issues and debunk dreamers ideas, those who report on the latest deals for us to spend more of our $$$, learners, experts, enthusiasts, those who love cameras and technology more than their ability to take photo's, give historical info on Pentax's lens selections for use on modern cameras .........

... and so on and so on, ad infinitum .......

Stick around long enough and you'll see some nice photo's because there are some fantastic photographers in this forum ....... competition winners, occasional semi or full professionals, those who choose not to bother showing their craft here because they have other avenues to do so or for many other reasons.

Yes we have wonderful cameras and love talking about them here as much as we enjoy shooting with them ....... be careful what you say or how you say it, it comes across as spam, but I think perhaps its intended to be more of a very direct way of encouraging(?)

Wow! Everyone's been so nice to Mr. Kim! In years past he'd have been torn to shreds for his critically bold statements. We've come a long way baby!!

Threads about pictures only (mostly) get fewer comments.
There are several forum favorites with respect to subject :^)
Post a picture of the correct genre and may as well have handed out free hotdogs !

ps - Alison, i have no newly prepared images to post..
