This nice compact Sony shoots excellent images along with video. A lot of photographers are now taking to the skies and using drones for aerial photography and cinematography. When you buy a drone, it is not always necessary to buy a camera also. For example this Sony DSC-RX100 is compatible with the Draganflyer X4-ES drone.

Another example would be the Sony NEX-7 camera. This camera is compatible with the DJI Spreading Wings S1000+.

It may also be another consideration before purchasing a quality camera. Can the camera take exceptional photos on the ground and for aerial photography.

Thats true I use a Nex 6 and recently a RX100 m3 but as you know the camera is only part of the solution. Any consideration of a camera for video has to include the gimbal which in the case of the Nex 6 costs $2500 and weighs as much as the camera. I have tried cheaper solutions but they have always let me down.

So I guess what I am trying to say is the camera is probably the cheapest component of a UAV and if I were to start over I would look at some sort of integrated solution like the DJI Inspire.

The single biggest problem with cheep solutions photographers and viegraphers flying the drones are facing is the vibration from the spinning motors and multiple propelers which easily transfers to the camera causing a typical gello effect which can significantly compromise the quality of the video quality. There are many other associated issues and many forums on dedicated websites with pletora of information dealing with those issues for anyone interested in drones and aerial photography and videography.
