batch resizing verticals in Nikon Capture

I'm just starting to fool with Nikon Capture a bit for some batch processes, but am baffled about how to handle resizing shots that I've taken with vertical orientation. When I'm reviewing a group of them in View, one of the first things I do is rotate the vertical oriented ones so I can view them correctly. When I try to resize these along with horizontals in NC, it stretches the dimensions to match the dimensions of the accompanying horizontal pictures in the batch. It baffled me for a minute, then I figured out what it was doing, and put all the verticals in another folder which I then resized separately with appropriate dimensions entered, but the same thing happened. The only way around it was to rotate them all back to horizontal, rezize them with the others, and then rotate them back. In PS I can just enter percentages in the Image Size box and this problem doesn't happen. Is there any similar way to handle this in Nikon Capture?

Help appreciated! Thanks

I wonder if I should go back to 3.0. On my old machine, it cause some really bad conflicts, so on the new machine I just went straight to 3.5, which seems to work ok so far except this.
