Very satisfied! I got mine GM5 about three weeks ego. When first got it in my hand the small body shocked me! Took couple of hours convince my self that I made the right decision. After few shots (photos!) I started smiling, the result was awesome! Excellent IQ and tons of useful features squeezed in the super-light system. The great EVF and the LCD touch screen has combined features. When LCD is OFF the touch sens feature can be used to move the focus cursor while composing trough the EVF. and much more...

Where did you GM5 come from? I have been on a "pre-order" list with B&H since air was invented!

I like Panasonic.... though I won't be upgrading my GH2 for a while (I've had it just a year)> If I was though I'd be giving serious consideration to this camrea. I like small. Only thing is, is that I'd be a little worried that it's more difficult to use this camera on manual and I do a lot of that. How's the control layout for that kind of thing?

Actually, I bought an M-lens adapter to experiment with my old Elmar-C 90mm and Summicron-C 40mm lenses and of course in manual mode. Had no problem at all! M mode with auto ISO or without. Peaking/magnifying in both EVF and LCD, and manual focusing assist works great too! I believe this little thing has everything what any larger cameras can for manually operation to offer.

The only concern I would have for left eye users (im not!) All combined features would be more difficult! Looking trough the EVF while moving the the touch sens focus cursor with the right thumb..

..in manual mode the rotating thumb wheel has a push selection too, switch from aperture or shutter setting!

Sounds perfect.... or almost perfect. My GH2 has the same kind of controls for manual and though I've gotten used to it and it's basically OK with me, I'd still rather have a second wheel so that aperture and shutter speed are separate. I realize though that with something this small there are certain external controls that it isn't going to have. I'm impressed that those super-tiny Sony RX100 cameras have dual control wheels, one on top and then one around the lens... a very cool design. Still would rather have a compact m4/3 camera like this one though.

I had the RX100 II, don't know about the newer version, but the ring around the lens could used only one selected feature at the time and the options were (wheel) menu selected. I don't think at all that was simpler than the GM5 layout for any mode. And the RX100 II had no auto ISO!

The RX100, all models, have auto ISO. On the RX100 II, you can even select high/low boundaries for auto ISO.

...sorry I was not clear enough! Our conversations started about M manual settings! RX100 II has no Auto ISO in (M) manual mode!
