My source told more about NX1.
  • Surprise!!! NO Retro style!
  • NX1 is not definitely designed for light user, but more for professional/advanced user. Yes, it is THE flagship of NX line up.
  • NX1 is expected to be a great AF performer.

Thanks for passing along the info! I'm hoping we will actually see the NX1 soon.

Thanks for sharing!

We apprciate every bit of information ;)

Could you please be a little more detailed?

- "No Retro style." Fine. But Rangefinder or DSLR style?

- "NX1 is not defintely",, this confused me a little ;) Will it be "light" or "heavy"?

Best Regards!

Excellent, this sounds like the camera I have been wanting any manufacturer to release, a pro/semi-pro mirrorless camera :) The X-T1 probably fits the bill, and the A7/A7R if it had faster focus, but they didn't really meet my needs. Hopefully Samsung does something to really make it stand out from the competition. I will probably buy it regardless since I am invested in Samsung, but would be nice if it were class leading in some ways.

I never let my money spent on a system's flashes, lenses, etc., keep me tied to a system.

I went from Canon to Nikon and now Samsung.

Yes, it cost me each time but not as much as one would think.

But I switched to fill my needs at the time.

Because of this approach my needs are being filled and I am a happy camper without that cloud hanging overhead that prevents so many photogs from switching.

And may I state if Nikon was more concerned about me than concerned about canabilization of their DSLR business, they would have made an APS-C mirroless camera, and today I would still be all Nikon.

Today I shoot Samsung and have no regrets

A big Splash in the market place would occur if the NX1 can save a RAW file for every Auto Mode shot.

Believe me, this alone is enough to make my NX30 a PRO camera, and to get many Pros on board.

Can't you just use P mode and auto-ISO + auto-White Balance for basically the same thing as Auto Mode but with RAW format accessible?

Having never shot P mode on any camera I have ever owned, upon reading your reply I ran to my camera bag and started shooting Auto and P which does save Raw as you taught me.

My readings were off due to one being Multi and the other Centerweighted. Once I set these and using TouchShot, I now have a Raw file while shooting Auto (P mode).

How ignorant could I be? I can't count the number of occasions that I decided to forego Raw by shooting Auto Mode because a shoot was in very even light or just not a critical shoot.

All the while I could have had a fat, info filled raw file or each shot.

I can not thank you enough for teaching me how to get a Raw file while shooting Auto (P mode)

Your lessson has enabled me to obtain a great deal of freedom of choice while shooting.

Thank you very, very much.

Excellent--glad it was such an easy tip :) I actually didn't know about it right away either--just something I had to put together as my significant other loves to pick up my camera and shoot in auto mode, frequently getting pretty good shots--but no RAW. So now I tell him to use P, as I generally have auto-ISO and auto-WB enabled by default already :D

No retro? Very good.

For professional/advanced user? - It is expected.

Great AF performer? Of course it is must have.

If AF faults than every sensor and lens is bad.

I hope manual focus will be also perfect...

On my NX30 I just assigned my P Mode (Auto +Raw) settings to the C2 custom dial.

Now I am all set when I wamt Auto + Raw, just go to C2 and I am ready to shoot.

Yes, again, a very big Thank You to you.
