Sandra bought this cat at the SPCA six years ago -

But Chocolate became my cat. After six years it still turns over for me -

But we now also have a refugee from an apartment, after the tenants left -

At the beginning it hissed at Sandra and snarled at me, which is not the way to make friends with Sandra. But it stuck around. To avoid scraps with our Chocolate (which she cannot win against this one), I feed him outside and I don't let him into the house.

But both I and Sandra can pick him up, which we cannot do with Chocolate. So Sandra named him Lucky. When he tries to get into the house, Sandra pulls him out again by the tail, and he does not object. It looks like he has had children around.

Off topic: I got another enlargement done to 33x23 inches (not 46x33 as I thought without measuring). This Gannet In Flight was taken with the SZ-30MR last year, before I got the SH-50 -

It was a lucky shot, needing hardly any trimming. Sandra thinks it looks good, hooray. She also likes the ferry building I enlarged earlier (to 33x23 inches, not 46x33 as I had claimed).

I will have to get one of those Clearviewer attachments for the SH-1, before the gannets come back in September. The SH-1 has a metal tripod socket, and it actually focusses faster than the SZ-30MR.

Cute team you have Henry. Chocolate and Lucky :)
how is color accuracy on SH-1 ? Are these real colors of lucky ? I am asking because purple or very dark blue seems not accurate at low ISO bright day light on my XZ-1 or PM1 ... while its the right color on my phone's camera !!! Disturbing for me.

Beautiful scenery and a real dedicated moment you caught. Great.

Sandra is now fussing over Lucky, because he will sit on her lap - for all of 30 seconds.

The XZ-1 still has a CCD in it, but I am not familiar with the PM1. Your phone may very well have a CMOS sensor in it. See my reply to Loraine on 'Red'.

With the cat pictures I still did small Colour Variations in PSE7, see the captions -

http://upload.pbase.com/hfalkner/gallery/henry111

But I do nothing like the hours of messing with PP that I did with my CCD cameras. Let me find my purples, reds, oranges and yellows - http://www.pbase.com/hfalkner/henry109&page=1

These were done on the SH-50, which does need WB Custom (white wall in the shade). On the SH-1 WB AUTO will cope without resorting to WB Custom (still available however).

Since I am confining myself to small sensor cameras and pocket P&S jobs in particular, I will merely say that the SH-1 does the best job out of all of them, and the SH-50 is not far behind.

But Colour Accuracy is an elusive term, since everyone's perception is different. However, I do less work for the results that I want with the SH-1 and SH-50 than I did before these two.

And now that I started doing 33x23 inch prints at Warehouse Stationary, I find that their Fujifilm kiosks, as well as the girls who laminate the prints, are in agreement with me.
Beautiful scenery and a real dedicated moment you caught. Great.

Thank you Ben

I hope 'bought' was a typo, that you meant 'brought', paying for a cat? I won't sleep tonight!

Nice photos, gotta like that bird shot.

On the Sony site we have a member who rescues dogs. It is always heart warming to know people like yourselves are out there for these animals.

From memory, she did pay for it. It is part of the fund raising by the SPCA. Sorry to give you a sleepless night.

Thank you. All the other GIFs I had to trim. They MIGHT be printable at 33x23 inch.
