As the reviews say, this sensor really does handle low light/high ISO better than its predecessors. Just to put the ISO at 1600 or higher and take useable indoor photos on A or P (my preferences) is a delight. It's so great that they figured out how to do that with such a small sensor size (so retaining compatibility with earlier cameras and lenses). Really fast repeat rate too. Feels good in the hands - was complimented by a Nikon FX photog for the ergonomics.
Also, and importantly, the focussing with the MMF3 adapter for full Four Thirds lenses, of which I have an assortment, is very good. Thank goodness for the new (to the MFT line) PDAF, complimenting the CDAF.
As with previous Olympus cameras, the bells/whistles can be overwhelming. Does anybody use "art modes" or "scenes", etc.? "Photo story"? (I don't.) Also, keeping track of the multiple ways to get at any one function can be a challenge. I'm finally getting used to the menus ... on my third Olympus interchangeable lens camera ... but so far am finding the touch screen actually a distraction. But if I need to grab a quick shot, I can set the ISO, if required, quickly and put the thing in P and shoot, and get a good image.
I have barely used the video function and didn't buy it for that feature.
Really happy (and also feel I should be, for the price).
