Hello All,

Has anyone using the Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 found a way of attaching a UV Filter to the lens to help protect it from dust and so forth? If yes, please provide as much information as to where I can get the same adapter ring for the filter. I just got this camera and I am having fun figuring which function of it I prefer the most. This is my first digital camera of this nature. I am moving from using film cameras (Old Canon F-1, A-1 & AE-1) into digital. Thanks.

There are two types of filter adapter for the SL1000 available on eBay, Amazon and elsewhere. The simplest is a small stick-on ring that attaches to the front of the lens, and is probably best for lightweight accessories like a filter. The second type is a much larger tube which clamps on to the body, and is meant for heavier accessories such as wide angle or tele converters.

An Amazon, eBay or Google search for FUJIFILM SL1000 FILTER will find many of them.

Hope this helps.

hi i also have this camera its my first camera so i dont know much about photography yet i am looking for IR FILTERS can u tell me which infrared filter will work with it . ( sorry for bad english )

Hi rjun86, here's the link to get the tape on Adapter Ring for the end of the lens, which allows you to use 58mm filters -

I finally got this adapter ring yesterday and it works great for the camera. I attached it this morning and it does not interfere with the lens at all. I was finally able to put a Vivitar 58mm UV Filter. Now I can use my Cokin Filters with this camera.

Amazon has Infra-red filters, but they are 77mm diameter. It looks as though the IR Filters range from 650nm to 760nm.
