PS7 or Elements

I'm just getting started in digital photography and was woundering if PS 7 would be to hard to start out with, a friend said to start out in Elements. Does anyone have any knowledge on this ?Thanks Ron

I would highly suggest you start with Elements. Put the extra money aside.

If you ever outgrow Elements you can upgrade down the road. Most likely you can spend the extra dollars on your next camera. You're more likely to outgrow your camera first.

Depends on wath you want to do, for editing pictures I would suggest PS elements, it is a great program and you can do a lot with it. If you want to do a lot more then just editing images i would suggest Photoshop 7.

I like to use elements cause it perfectly fits my needs:)

I started in Elements, and its good basic training for 7. Unless you are going to shoot 16bit raw, you can stay with elements
