I took photo yesterday in amish country just a few hours before this farm was blanketed with 3 inches of snow. I take alot of landscape photos and needed more detail in my photos then what my C-2100 was giving me. One minor thing which may be due to the overcast conditions is the red color in the barn. Looks a little un-natural. Any comments welcomed....

By the way, I saw an Amish guy in a buggy, the other day, pull out a cell phone and make a call. I was a bit surprised to say the least. Hehehe

F-707: TCON-14B;
Need MCON-35 and WCON-08B.
Gonna be a CON-man someday.

The photo is nice and the barn looks ok to me but assuming you have Photoshop or PS Elements or other quality editor, you can play with the hue/saturation sliders for RED and see if you can make it more to your liking. I did that with a red grist mill in my TN photos online.

BB,

It's very easy to play down that red in PS. Select the barn with the lasso tool (no exact work is needed here), and in the red channel of Hue/Saturation reduce the saturation to -30, or something about that.

Frankly: Your original red doesn't disturb me.

thanks Yehuda,I like that a little better.

BillyBoy,
You can run but you can't hide...

We can do this the easy way or the hard way...what's it gonna be?

Come peacefully and you won't get hurt... ;> )

BillyBoy,

Nice photo by the way...I think the color of the barn looks great just the way it is...

What ever camera you end up with I'm sure you will continue to take wonderful photos...

You are doing just fine with the F717...keep up the good work...

Bob

Here's another photo of this farm I took a few days ago with my 717 now with snow on the ground (photo taken this afternoon) In this photo the teepee style stacks of corn put there by the amish stand out more in this photo
