I would like to suggest the following features available in the next upgarde of QV-4000

1. A Superfine mode

Since JPEG compression rate is too high for QV-4000 and I can't take everypicture using the TIFF mode (not the storage problem but the writing speed). I would like to suggest a superfine mode which has compression ratio of 1:2.5 and is now quite common for prosumer grade digital camera

2. To retain setting from best shot to Manual Mode

I like to use Bestshot library a lot but sometimes it lack of flexibility like adjusting aperture/shutter speed. I certainly hope that when I select the best-shot library, I can still manage to change the aperture/shutter speed (to retain the setting of filters, enhancement, sharpness, saturation ... etc.) or simply bring those setting to other mode.

3. Enhance support for Microdrive

I'm using a 1Gb MicroDrive from IBM and I found that QV-4000 is comparatively slow to read/write on MD, considerably slower than compact flash. My friend using Canon G2 and the I/O speed is much faster than me. I think this problem would be solved easily.

4. Add Multi-exposure (twice exposure) functions to QV-4000

As QV-4000 support the digital soft focus which operates the shutter twice, I think it's possible to add twice exposure function to QV-4000. I hope that the couple shot function like to QV-R4 could be added and I certainly think it will greatly enhance the funcationality by adding this feature.

I'm a QV-4000 user and I love to use my QV-4000 as it produce pictures in great quality, a lot of functions and an user-friendly interface. I certainly think that QV-4000/5700 could become an standard in digital photography as it provide a lot of functions for amateur to professional photographer. CASIO Brand could become more and more popular if it's support team would consider user's feedback and suggestion.

Hi
I am a user of QV5700 and would like to second what you have wrote

1) Best Shot mode be made available to manual.
Feature like mulitple exposure (soft focus) is available to Best Shot but not
manual.
Best shot setting be made customisable just like SLR
Where I could set a certain Apature / shutter / sharpness / EV / Filter
and store it in. and edit it just before I capture it

2) Panaroma Mode display the picture connected together on the camera

but as individual file after downloading. Was just hoping it could be done in camera and not a software on the PC.

But after some technical consideration understood that the amount of computation on the camera would drain all the juice and take a considerable amount of time. And editing on the camera would be difficlut.
But I can wish can't I

3) Noise reduction mode on the camera be user selectable so that
I could turn the feature on and off when I want it

4) A speed adjustment for manual focus, The current up down
manual focus is just too...... slow and difficult to use. for this feature to
be of any use. I don't mind rotating the lens to manual focus
End up depending on Auto focus most of the time

5) Option for the Flash to do multiple expoure (Need not be full power) While keeping the shutter open.
(Have not seen this feature on any digital camera)
Like to capture movement at night.

6) Multiple exposure (Same as 1) Every manual-able camera should be
to do this.

Still hoping and wishing

Wishful thinking aloud
