This Saturday i went to the museum village of Orvelte in the Netherlands. It is a agricultural village with old buildings and with people living in it. The wether could not have been better so i could test the Leica T again. Sometimes i missed the EV when the sun was directly at the lcd it was a bit difficult to see what i was shooting. I used the Leica T with Vario ElmarF3.5-5.6 18-56mm ASPH zoom lens. The included sun hood and Leica coating did a good job i did not notice any flair.

The next day I also visited an smal open air antique market in Dordrecht wit also lots of sun.

I focused here more on some close-ups of the goods.

The zoom has a good macro possibility and gives a IMHO nice bokeh.

enjoy them

Beautiful pristine set of pictures. Thanks for confirming that the T zoom lens has macro a-la- XVario. good news.

Hi Rodrigue

The zoom does not have a special macro " mode" or setting, but it focuses automatically in 18mm till 30cm. and in the 56mm position till 45cm. so easy macro shooting ;->

ah, interesting to know, although the XVario has no macro mode, it shoots macro at full zoom only. distance can be as close as 20 cm if AF is used!

so, you say that T shoots macro at 30 cm / 18mm only? that's not as good as the XV then ;-0

anyways, I'm waiting for my dealer to get it in order to give it a try ;-)

Nice set. What's the battery life like? Is it easy to see the screen in the sunlight?

Best,

Steve

Battery live is good, about 300-400 shots and that with a huge 3,7 inch lcd

View is bright sunlight is good but when the sun hits the screen directly it is more difficult.

I have also used the EV and that is super, high res and large . so even with 9sun)glasses on it works very nice.

Thanks. Sound's like I'd better not hold one in the store. I won't be able to let it go and I'll take it home. Your pictures are very nice.

Best,

Steve

The Leica T is indeed a camera which need to be hold in your hands. to be able to feel the texture and smoothness of the body. it is wonderful.
